New photography spot--because the lighting was so atrociously weird in the old one tonight.  The curtains were billowing around due to the air conditioning vent so we tucked them up.  Note the Amazon box in the corner.  This place is a photographer's dream set!

Saying cheese in other languages (I believe this was "Fromage!") sometimes does not result in a big smile.  Sometimes it gives you Sour Snark Face.

The photographer's assistant was the best in the business, though.  (I hear he pays her in ice cream.)

Today I had to go get an emissions test done on my husband's car.  When I got back from doing that, I received a notice that my car was due for its emissions inspection in the next 30 days.  UGHGHGHGHHHHH--so that's what I'll be doing tomorrow...

Team O had an early afternoon full of fun--Thai food for lunch, painting an extremely large unicorn at Color Me Mine, ice cream at Cold Stone, and a little shoe shopping.

CJ decided it was her doll's birthday and so we needed to make a "strawberry cake with very fluffy frosting" (and sprinkles obvi, what kind of fly-by-night home bakery do you think I'm running here?).  (NB: Pilsbury's strawberry cake mix kind of tastes like if you dumped way too much Sweet N Low on a very small overripe strawberry.)

It's Magic

Went to see Magic Mike last night.  My main complaint was that Channing Tatum kept getting in the way of Matt Bomer.  Also, that there was not enough Matt Bomer and they should make a sequel to this movie that is all about Matt Bomer  (Magic Matt?).  YUM.

(Yes, I know he's gay.  I love how people keep telling me that as though it's the only barrier to us being together foreversies--not my marriage or the fact that he's a movie star and we don't know each other.  Oh, he's gay?  Well now it's impossible, never mind.)

Etsy Favorites--the Preppy Edition

We've been at my parents' house since Saturday morning because the power is out.  (Good news, it's back on, we go home tomorrow night!)  My parents play golf almost every day and have been taking us to their country club pool, so I'm in an extremely preppy mood.  Doesn't hurt that I've been living in Bermuda shorts (mint green with embroidered anchors and seersucker, to be exact).
